eSIM technology allows you to add a voice and data plan to your iPhone without using a nano-SIM card. Activating an eSIM will require scanning a valid QR code distributed by a wireless carrier, or signing up for a participating plan through a wireless carrier app.*
* Use of eSIM requires a wireless service plan (which may include restrictions on switching service providers and roaming, even after contract expires). Not all carriers support eSIM. Use of eSIM in iPhone may be disabled when purchased from some carriers. See your carrier for details. To learn more, visit https://support.apple.com/kb/HT0908603917.

It’s our trade-in and recycling programme that’s good for you and the planet. If your current iPhone is eligible for trade-in credit, you can offset the purchase price of a new one. If it’s not eligible for credit, you can recycle it for free.
-
Whether you’re making a purchase or not, we’ve made it easy to trade in an eligible iPhone online. Just answer a few questions regarding the model and condition, and we’ll provide an estimated trade-in value or a simple way to recycle it. If your device is eligible for credit, we’ll apply your estimated trade-in value to the purchase of your new iPhone. We’ll then arrange for you to send us your old iPhone. Once we’ve received it, we’ll inspect it and verify its condition. If the condition matches what you described, there’s nothing more you need to do. If the condition doesn’t match, a new trade-in value will be provided. You’ll have the option to either accept this revised value or reject it. We’ll work with you to confirm that you still want to move forwards with the trade-in.
And if you choose to recycle your device, we’ll provide a prepaid shipping label so you can send your device to our accredited recycling partner.
-
Your estimated trade-in credit will be applied to the payment method used to purchase your new iPhone once we’ve confirmed the condition of your trade-in device. If the trade-in value exceeds your purchase total, we’ll refund the difference on an Apple Store Gift Card. And if your device is not eligible for credit, we can recycle it for free or return it to you.
-
Generally it takes 2–3 weeks. But the sooner you send us your device, the sooner we can verify its condition and process your trade-in. Recycling a device is much faster. When we email you a prepaid shipping label, just send your device to our recycling partner.
