Ep. 23: The Final Swimsuit…

The Final Swimsuit… (最後の水着… Saigo no Mizugi…) is the twenty-third episode of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger.

Synopsis

Juri finds herself fighting against her Ohranger teammates when a Machine Beast turns them into his loyal subjects during a day off at the beach.

Plot

The Ohranger head to a beach where Shouhei and Yuji celebrate their youth before Goro states they’re slacking off and they shouldn’t just abandon their military readiness and orders his teammates to race to a nearby island by swimming there. Shouhei and Yuji tell him to loosen up and that they’re there to pick up girls, searching through binoculars until seeing a relaxing duo; OhGreen trying to reach them until he discovers them as Juri and Momo when he hits on them, the duo using masks to show how stupid he is and even telling Shouhei he’s “drowning” in standing length water.

On the moon, Buldont is admiring a fashion magazine as he states he wants a wife like a girl in there; Bacchus Wrath sees how great the female in it looks until Hysteria decides to investigate what the two are doing, discovering the attractive women and wondering how he could do such a thing until her son states he was only looking at “their beautiful clothing”; the emperor hesitating at the action. Hysteria states that humans are empty on the inside and thus adorn themselves on the outside to deceive themselves before ripping the magazine apart to the embarrassment of the others as Hysteria decides to take advantage of humanity’s vanity for her own purposes.

After swimming, the Ohranger head to get food as the males and females split up in the locker room. As they do, the Machine Beast Bara Clothes arrives sending out the “Metallic Wave”, altering the Ohranger males’ clothing in secret without realizing it. As it goes to do the same to Juri and Momo’s clothing, OhPink realizes there’s a stalker forcing the two to confront it for trying to attack them in a moment of weakness, Juri calling the action low. Bara Clothes states he prefers girls with real curves as it fights the duo, the females being knocked around as he grabs Momo and throws her aside with Juri. OhPink tells the males to transform, but they all start smiling and laughing as their clothing turns to armor and their faces gain paint as they become evil! Bara Clothes soon uses Metallic Wave on Momo, changing her as well and the Machine Beast stating that his Metallic Wave changes clothing to metal making them obey his every command! Bara Clothes sends the other Ohranger after Juri, who cries out for them to stop as she tries to escape the quartet, but they restrain her as she tries to remind them they’re Ohrangers; soldiers with Iron will. However, Juri’s communicator and Power Brace are taken as Bara Clothes prepares to turn her into a servant, which she leaps away and runs away in hopes of escaping with the Machine Beast sending the other Ohranger after her.

In the nearby forest, Juri arms up with guns and knives to save the others from Bara Clothes, making her realize she needs to destroy it’s antenna to save the others. However, she is soon attacked by a rope thrown out by Shouhei, who tosses her around and strangles her until a group of Barlo appear, making her take out a knife to cut the rope while he gets trapped in a net and the minions blast both of them. Juri shoots the Barlo with a machine gun over and over to remove the minions, but Shouhei continues his attack even netted up; Juri restrains him before telling her partner she will save him and running to find the Machine Beast. Yuji soon attacks OhYellow by a rapid-running river, tossing him in to attempt to escape before hiding away and using a grappling hook to hang OhBlue and restrain him. But before she can save him, she hears another noise in the woods, revealed to be a boy, who states his parents were attacked by a monster. Juri asks where they were attacked and he states the ocean but that he can’t walk; OhYellow tries to comfort him to help him out carrying him on her back but soon tells him to hide as she senses something else nearby. The sounds emerge as Momo attacks Juri with swords, the duo fighting as Bacchus Wrath delights at the battle; Hysteria claiming she’ll soon turn all human clothing to metal and turn humanity into their puppets. Momo slices a tree and stabs Juri with dirt before she uses a grenade on OhPink as she apologizes, her teammate suffocating on the smoke.

Juri and the boy continue to journey as Bara Clothes claims she’s left herself open; it sees the kid in the way but wonders what he can do. The boy notices something as he asks Juri if she’s OK, OhYellow carrying him again. Goro soon rises from the water and slashes at Juri with her own knife, making her toss him away and towards a cliff, Juri pleading at him to get out of this as the strongest person she knows. Juri fights Goro knocking the knife from his hand as the Machine Beast tells someone to “do it”, the boy transformed by the Metallic Wave strangling OhYellow until she throws a grenade at Bara Clothes and dives into the ocean to escape them!

Eventually emerging from the water, Juri places the boy aside feeling how horrific Baranoia is to even use kids for his scheme until she hears someone singing nearby with Goro realizing how stubborn she is. Seeing another girl shower, Juri takes her clothing, telling her to forgive her for stealing her outfit for the sake of Earth. Dressing up, Juri is confronted by Goro again, fighting him before she’s confronted by all the Ohranger who restrain her and beat her up without mercy. Goro states Juri is at her limit as Bara Clothes tries to force OhYellow to be his servant; he fires the Metallic Wave but she removes the outfit immediately and throws it to the ground. He tries again hitting her swimsuit telling her that if she takes the swimsuit off she’ll be naked! Juri appears to be completely nude but reveals soon she has another swimsuit under it and a knife, embarrassing the Machine Beast with her body long enough for her to slash at his antenna, destroying the effect of his Metallic Wave and restoring everyone to normal! Juri states she knew this would happen so she wore an outfit over her swimsuit and another swimsuit under that; the other Ohranger show anger for what he pulled while Juri gets her Power Brace back allowing for her to transform with the others. Bara Clothes uses a beam attack but Juri uses her Lightspeed Splash Illusion and Explosive Chouriki Baton before the team uses the Chouriki Dynamite Attack to defeat the monster. As Acha and Kocha grow it with the Enlargement Beam, the Ohranger summon Ohranger Robo; it becomes hit by a string attack binding it and electrocuting it until Red Puncher is summoned having it hit by it’s Star Beams and Puncher Gatling and then the Vulcan Head’s Chouriki Dogu Vulcan of Ohranger Robo prior to being hit by Buster Ohranger Robo’s Big Cannon Burst finishing off Bara Clothes as it admits it’s love of OhYellow.

Later, OhYellow gives a thanks note to the girl whose clothes she borrowed while telling the other Ohranger she was put through a lot by them this time and makes the feel shame for what they did to a girl in a swimsuit before saying she was joking and that it wasn’t their fault. The team decide to restart their day off with excitement now all problems were cleared up.
