I have used old school IBM model M’s for years. I love them. But when I started a new remote role I ran into a few problems with them. 1. They’re loud, and I could tell my typing during zoom calls wasn’t overjoying my coworkers. and the big thing – my bus powered PS/2 to USB converter began failing (again… This is a common thing) so made getting work done a lot harder.
I know I want to build a custom keeb eventually, so didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on something already put together.
I debated between blues and clears for a long while. I wanted the closest feel possible to the IBM model M (60-70g actuation force). So I went with clears since they have slightly more force than the blues. It’s close enough in feel to the model M but I definitely notice a difference.
I’m not crazy about how quiet it is, BUT I will say it has more of a “clack” noise than a higher-pitched “click” – if that makes sense. That I do like.
I do eventually want to test blues and whites. I have a feeling I would’ve preferred white but those weren’t an option on this keeb.

I have ordered this keyboard TWICE, because I wanted a good heavy keyboard with genuine blue switches.
the first time I got one, there was one nonresponsive/broken key out of the box, so back it went, replacement was fine.
I wanted another for a workstation I use apart from my main machine.
Arrived today, and sure enough right out of the box, one key is not working (the del key).
It seems like an overall good quality keyboard, but it seems both times I’ve ordered one, I’d had to return for one that I hope works! Not sure what to think, but…I’m rather unimpressed with keyboards that have a broken key out of the box. Doesn’t anyone test these things?
[external_link offset=1]If you get it, please test every key as soon as you get it, so you don’t get stuck with a broken one after the return period!

Overall it’s a quality keyboard with real cherry mx switches at a great price (I paid $79.99, with brown switches).
There’s only two tiny issues:
1) No play/pause media key. This is easily fixed with a key mapping program, but it’s still a little annoying. If you’re going to include media keys, why leave that one out?
2) Symbols are to the right of the numbers on the keycaps. I don’t know why this bothers me, it just does (shift is an up arrow… not a right arrow).
If those two nitpicks don’t bother you, then I’d say go for it. It’s hard to find a keyboard of this high quality with real cherry mx switches in this price range.

I like the feel of this keyboard, especially having come from an old “came with the desktop computer” keyboard that was probably worth $5 — this feels much better to type on.
One of my favorite features is the “no ghosting” — meaning that if you hit two keys at the same time, or nearly the same, both keys still register. On other keyboards, I have to slow down my typing when I’m doing something like typing my password because sometimes it drops a character here and there.
Down side? It’s a little louder than I think I would have chosen, if I had the chance. (Cherry MX Brown is the norm, which I have. I’d hate to hear what the louder switches are like–it must be like listening to a typewriter.)
Neutral: It’s also the heaviest keyboard I’ve ever felt, which I actually appreciate because that, combined with the rubber feet prevent it from moving at all. That’s nice. Nothing worse than a sliding keyboard.
Overall, I love it. I hope it lasts. If it breaks, I’ll come back and update.
Update regarding O-RINGS: I tried ADDING aftermarket O-rings. They were a complete waste of money. When I added one to a key, put the key back on the keyboard and pulled it again, the O-ring had not even bottomed out under the key cap. (Pictured) The ring day about halfway up the shaft, doing absolutely nothing.

Overall: Not many keyboards are available at this price point and provide MX Clears and such a great typing experience. Great stabs, great keycaps, nice inclusion of additional colors of keycaps for modifiers.
The problem: Are they using b-stock mx switches to keep the price down?
I one main problem with this board. 2-3 of the MX Clear switches had defects. The black housing had tiny imperfections in the plastic that jutted out towards the stem (the inner square wasn’t perfectly square). These were noticeable while typing. The stems would catch on these tiny imperfections on the housing while pressing the key down if they were pressed down at a certain angle. I fixed this by filing them down to normal, I didn’t have to desolder, a knife or small pair of nail clippers did the job, it took 5 mins. This shouldn’t ever happen, I’m not sure if this means they’re using b-stock mx switches. I’ve never seen this problem on my outemu blue, outemu brown, or MX brown board.
Also, I only received 2/4 yellow keys for the keyboard arrows, which is okay.
Other than that the addition of the extra colors of keycaps is really nice and adds a great look to the keyboard. The MX clears feel very nice to type on. Stabilizers are prelubed and have no rattle on my keyboard. The keycaps feel great and hold the pads of your fingers well.

Minuses – no backlight and not so many func keys. Other if perfect – nice clicks and keycaps, heavy and stable keyboard. Quite compact. I’m happy as a kid
